REFURBISHMENT

At a Church Council meeting back in early 2011 it was decided that

the Church needed updating. The aim of this project was to refurbish and modernise the whole premises and provide a more useable space and an eco-friendly building. As we were nearing our centenary in 2015 we felt this would be a great achievement to celebrate this.

Once permission was granted the fundraising began and grants were applied for from various sources.

The refurbishment was completed in 2 phases:

Phases 1: "The School Room", Kitchen and Boiler Room.

Phase 2: The Church and Vestry

Phase 1 was started in 2014 and finished in early 2015 with a total transformation, "The School Room" is now known as The Community Room and this became the worship area when phase 2 took place.

Phase 2 started in 2015 was finally completed in 2016, slightly later than we hoped due to unforeseen circumstances.

After many years of hard work the building was superbly refurbished and rededicated on the 11th June 2016.

Furnishings including comfy chairs were fitted by August 2016 to give the premises the final touch.
